There is nothing permanent except change
Hello, I'm Deborah. My career before I became a counsellor was in the care sector. I found I was drawn more to people's emotional wellbeing which led me to undertake my counselling training.
I work with individuals of all ages, from younger people navigating their way in life to older adults seeking clarity and peace in the later stages of their life.
I am a Pluralistic Therapist and believe there is no one-size-fits-all path to healing or growth. We can work together in a collaborative way to find the approaches, tools and ways of understanding that feel most helpful to you.
I am a member of the NCPS and adhere to their code of ethics.
Change can be hard, even when it's something we want. It can bring up feelings of uncertainty, fear, grief, hope, anxiety, to name just a few. In our therapy sessions we can examine the complexities of these feelings so you don't have to experience them alone.
I believe that no matter your age, daring to hope is an essential step in transformation and there is always a way forward. I offer a collaborative, flexible and compassionate space to explore where you are now and what might come next; we will work at a pace that suits you.
Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma or life transitions, I am here to offer you support to empower you to create a meaningful change. Together we can explore your thoughts and feelings in a safe, confidential, non-judgemental, empathetic way.
Each of our sessions will last for 50 minutes; these are usually weekly although some clients may prefer fortnightly sessions. I offer online and telephone sessions as well as out-of-office hours sessions.
Online counselling will allow us to work around your busy schedules without losing the benefits of face-to-face sessions.
Telephone counselling can be held anywhere with the only requirement being a quiet private room.
Each session costs £60.
I offer a free 15–20 minute initial conversation to decide if we can work well together.
People come to me for help a wide range of issues.
